According to the Polish edition of Business Insider, Polish Health Minister Izabela Leszczyna is considering a ban on the sale of disposable vaping devices.
Leszczyna added that, given that as many as 64% of young people in Poland have been “exposed to” the product, she wants to pursue the fastest possible legislative route to implement such a measure.
The news comes after the UK announced a ban on disposable products in January.
Meanwhile, Poland is preparing to implement the EU directive banning the sale of flavored heated tobacco products. According to local media, the regulation could take effect next year.
The EU directive prohibits flavored heated tobacco products from being placed on the EU market and removes the possibility for member states to exempt such products from certain labeling requirements under EU law.
