According to a report by The Malta Independent, BAT Malta partnered with the NGO Coast is Clear to carry out a cleanup campaign, with the Sa Maison woodland area serving as the main site for the event.

During the cleanup, the BAT Malta team collected a total of 160 kilograms of litter. BAT Malta Country Manager Clint Bajada said: "Our commitment to ESG principles is deeply embedded in our company purpose, and activities like this allow us to actively contribute to improving our local community as we pursue our goal of building A Better Tomorrow.

The cleanup was carried out in collaboration with Coast is Clear founder Mark Galea Pace, who commented: “Joining forces with BAT Malta for this cleanup demonstrates the power of collective action in protecting our natural environment. This partnership sets an example for corporate engagement in environmental protection and community well-being.”

BAT Malta began operating locally in 1907 and is part of British American Tobacco.
