Key takeaway: Two Brick convenience store managers were arrested for illegally selling THC vaping devices.

Following an extensive investigation, the Brick Township Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit (SCU), working with the Ocean County Narcotics Strike Force, the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, and the Division of Consumer Affairs, made major arrests related to the sale and distribution of illegal THC vaping products.

The investigation focused on two local businesses on Route 88 in Brick: Welsh Farms and Restaurant Farms.

Sarajbit Kaur, 46, a Brick resident, was arrested and charged with five counts of distributing THC products, possession with intent to distribute those products, possession of prescription drugs, and money laundering. Kaur was later processed and released on a summons.

In a related arrest, Mannu Prasad, 61, also of Brick, faced charges including conspiracy to distribute THC products, possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance (psilocybin), and money laundering. Prasad was also processed and released on a summons.

In addition, the Department of the Treasury and the Division of Consumer Affairs inspected Welsh Farms and Restaurant Farms. Welsh Farms faces charges including selling expired medications and illegal flavored vaping products. Restaurant Farms faces similar charges, as well as possessing unregistered weighing and measuring devices and failing to maintain registration certificates.
