According to Yorkpress, the trading standards team of York City Council visited B&M stores to ask why e-cigarettes are being sold near children's favorite sweets.

This issue was raised by the local democracy reporting service, elevating the health and well-being of children to the forefront of the council members' concerns.

The e-cigarette products sold at B&M stores in the city come in a variety of flavors, including many candy flavors, and are even displayed alongside chocolate brands like Aero, Galaxy, and Maltesers.

While this may not technically be illegal, Jenny Kent, the council's environment and climate emergency enforcement commissioner, stated: "I find it hard to understand how anyone could think it is acceptable to market e-cigarettes to children near the sweets aisle."
