On July 24, deputies of the Russian State Duma passed a bill restricting the use of e-cigarettes and hookahs.
According to a statement from the legislative authorities, the measure imposes restrictions on the use of electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) and hookahs in certain regions, venues, and rooms, and sets requirements for the depiction of vaping products in audiovisual works involving minors and adults.
In addition, according to Russian state information agencies, the document also restricts the sale and use of vaping products, including a ban on sales to minors and a prohibition on involving children in their use.
There is also a proposal to impose administrative fines for violations of the restrictions.
