UK Public Health Still Says Vaping Is Far Less Harmful Than Tobacco
UK public health officials say they still maintain that vaping is far less harmful than smoking, reaffirming the long-standing position of Public Health England.
Recently, John Newton, the head of Public Health England (PHE), stated in an interview with media reporters that they still maintain their original stance on e-cigarette products.
They believe that the harm of vapor-based e-cigarette products is far less than that of regular tobacco products, even in light of the large-scale deaths and illnesses associated with the consumption of vapor-based e-cigarette products in the United States.
In this regard, Public Health England still believes that the harm of e-cigarettes is 95% lower than that of smoking regular tobacco products and encourages traditional smokers who can or are unwilling to quit smoking to switch to vapor-based e-cigarette products.
