Thailand’s cybercrime police raided a major illegal vape production and storage site in Pattaya, arresting a 36-year-old Chinese national and seizing vaping products and equipment worth more than 10 million baht (about US$320,000). Inside a rented house used as the site, police found thousands of ready-to-use pods, empty pods, coils, devices, large quantities of e-liquid, and production equipment. Police said the crackdown is part of the Thai government’s nationwide effort to combat the illegal trade in vaping products, particularly those distributed through online platforms and tourist areas.
