Bulgarian police said officers in Sofia arrested two men suspected of possessing more than 400 kilograms of untaxed shisha tobacco worth over 100,000 Bulgarian leva (about US$60,000). The suspects, brothers in their 50s, came under investigation after police found untaxed tobacco in their vehicle, which led authorities to seize the large tobacco stock from a nearby building. Authorities said the shisha tobacco paste was intended for commercial distribution nationwide and had reportedly been sold for nearly a year through direct delivery and courier services. Another person suspected of involvement in the case was also detained, and pre-trial proceedings are underway.
