According to Reuters, sales of illegal flavored disposable e-cigarettes in the United States accounted for 35% of e-cigarette sales in convenience stores and supermarkets in 2024. Sales of US$2.4 billion represented a significant increase from US$3.2 billion in 2023.

The study comes from sources familiar with Circana’s data, which could not be independently confirmed because the figures have not been officially released. The company’s data tracks sales only in specific channels such as convenience stores, and does not capture e-cigarette sales online, in independent stores, or in specialist vape shops.
Circana told Reuters that the total size of the e-cigarette market it tracked last year was about US$6.8 billion.
