According to a recent report by Journalnow, U.S. tobacco giant Philip Morris USA will raise cigarette prices again by 15 to 20 cents per pack. Industry sources say this is the company’s first price adjustment in 2024. The new pricing will take effect on January 14. Wholesalers pay traditional cigarette manufacturers what is known as the list price, and such increases are often passed on to retail consumers.
