King's Lynn, UK: store ordered to close after selling illegal vaping products
A store in King's Lynn, UK, has been ordered to close following a court hearing after selling illegal vaping devices, THC-containing vapes, illegal tobacco, and vaping products to children.
It is understood this is the second time in Norfolk that a store has been ordered to close for selling illegal vapes.
Labas Minimarket, located at 41 Norfolk Street in King's Lynn, was served with a closure notice on Tuesday, December 19, after repeated visits by Norfolk Police and Norfolk Trading Standards since March. The store had received 33 complaints over the past few months, 32 of which were related to underage sales, illegal vaping products, and illegal tobacco. During a raid on November 1, officers found 405 illegal vaping devices, 13 packs of illegal cigarettes, and a concealed stash.
A large quantity of goods was seized, including thousands of illegal vaping devices as well as tobacco, cigarettes, and alcohol. The store did not have a license to sell alcohol.
