Breaking news: According to Patch, police in Westport, Connecticut recently carried out a raid at the Savvy Smoker tobacco shop on Post Road East and seized a number of products that were being sold illegally.

 

In a statement, police said: “The business did not have a cannabis sales license, chain retailer license, retailer license, or delivery service license authorized by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection.” They added: “Many of the products contained THC concentrations exceeding permitted limits for health products, or lacked child-resistant or tamper-evident packaging.”

 

In addition to Westport police, agents from the Drug Control Division of the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) also participated in the search and seizure.
