JTI Supports Low-Income Families in Greece With Food Aid Charity Project
Japan Tobacco International (JTI) responded to the call of the Association of Exporters of Northern Greece (SEVE) and actively joined the “Help for Families” program launched by the Social Solidarity and Assistance Network.
According to a December 19 report by Greek media outlet news247, Japan Tobacco International (JTI) responded to the call of the Association of Exporters of Northern Greece (SEVE) and actively joined the “Help for Families” program launched by the Social Solidarity and Assistance Network. JTI pledged to support five low-income families in Thessaloniki by covering their food expenses for one year.
On December 15 and 18, JTI employees also worked with the charity organization "The Love Van" in Athens to provide food for homeless and impoverished people. In another volunteer initiative, the company’s volunteer employees in Thessaloniki took part in a donation drive during the Christmas season at the Christmas Village hosted by the Municipality of Thessaloniki, collecting food for the city’s social grocery stores.
