Five stores in Chester, UK, have been targeted in a joint operation by local government authorities for selling nicotine-containing vaping devices to minors.
According to a breaking report from foreign media outlet Chesterstandard, five stores in Chester, UK, have come under joint action by local government authorities for selling nicotine-containing vaping devices to minors.
In a joint operation conducted by Cheshire West and Chester Council and Cheshire Police, three of the five premises visited sold nicotine-containing vaping devices to children. Of those three locations, two were also found to be selling illegal devices seized by officials.
A total of 242 vaping devices, 4,140 illegal cigarettes, and 700 grams of illegal hand-rolling tobacco were seized.
Investigations are now underway into whether the shop staff who sold the products and the businesses responsible for those sales committed offenses in violation of regulations prohibiting the sale of nicotine products to anyone under the age of 18.
