JTI Collaborates with Renowned Italian Artist on Mural Aimed at Breaking Disability-Related Barriers
A new mural was unveiled in Ascoli Piceno, Italy, calling for the breaking of barriers and conveying a message of inclusion. The mural was promoted by JTI Italia and Save the Planet, expressing hope and inclusivity in response to challenges outlined in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
According to Ansa news agency on December 12, a new mural titled "Everything About Us is Related to Us" was unveiled at the Saba Torricella parking lot in Ascoli Piceno. The message conveyed is "The Flower of Change: Breaking Barriers for a More Inclusive World."
This mural was organized by Japan Tobacco International (JTI) Italy and Save the Planet, created by renowned national artist Andrea Tarli.
The theme of Tarli's mural aims to break down barriers related to disabilities—whether architectural or otherwise—expressing a keen desire for hope and inclusion. It quotes a line from the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, inviting the public to understand the challenges faced by people with disabilities every day and conveying the message that these barriers can be overcome.
Marco Fioravanti, the mayor of Ascoli Piceno, Tyndaris Cacia, corporate affairs and communications manager at JTI Italy, Nicolò Gerico from Save the Planet, and mural artist Andrea Tarli participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
