[Original from Two Leading] At the Indonesia electronic cigarette exhibition VAPEFAIR on November 12, we interviewed electronic cigarette brands BECO and FREEMAX to understand their current situation in the Indonesian market.
BECO: Plans to Expand Sales Market in Bali
The staff at the BECO booth introduced their market expansion plans. They stated that disposable electronic cigarettes are quite popular in Bali and Surabaya, but in cities like Bandung, many stores do not accept disposable devices. Therefore, BECO is currently planning to expand its market in Bali and set Surabaya as the next development target.
Their expansion strategy includes collaborating with large distributors in first-tier cities for ground promotion and sales efforts. At the same time, they are promoting new products through social media and retail stores.

When discussing the laws and regulations in Indonesia, BECO staff mentioned a challenge: the relatively high consumption tax in Indonesia, which limits the profits businesses can earn. They hope the government will consider reducing taxes on disposable devices to promote sustainable growth in the industry.
FREEMAX: Plans to Launch New Open Devices Next Year
The staff at the FREEMAX booth believe that Indonesian consumers have strong purchasing power regarding electronic cigarettes, but the market prefers open electronic cigarettes. Therefore, FREEMAX plans to launch new open products next year to meet the demands of the Indonesian market.
