Wood County School District in the U.S. Launches Anti-Youth Vaping Campaign
The Wood County School District in the United States has joined forces with the Wood County Prevention Coalition to carry out an anti-youth vaping campaign, which has now been running for three years.
According to a November 15 report by U.S. media outlet WTAP, the Wood County School District and the Wood County Prevention Coalition have jointly conducted a prevention campaign targeting youth vaping for the past three years.
On November 14, the schools also held poster and video contests, and all winning entries focused on raising awareness about the harms of vaping.
A district official said the prevention campaign was launched in response to the rise of vaping in Wood County schools three years ago.
According to data from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), vaping rates among U.S. high school students declined from 2022 to 2023, while the rate among middle school students changed little.
