BAT Appoints Stahrenberg as Chief People Officer
British American Tobacco has appointed Cora Koppe-Stahrenberg as Chief People Officer to strengthen its management team.
According to a notice from British American Tobacco (BAT) on October 13, Cora Koppe-Stahrenberg has been appointed as Chief People Officer following the management changes on June 19, 2023, and will officially join the management team on November 1, 2023.

Stahrenberg brings valuable experience from various fields, most recently serving as the Global HR Director at Fresenius Medical Care, a company with over 125,000 employees worldwide. During her tenure, she established a new global HR function and implemented a global HR strategy focused on fostering a collaborative culture, along with a series of reform measures. She has also held various senior international HR positions at Marsh & McLennan, the UAE Investment Authority, and General Electric.
BAT CEO Tadeu Marroco welcomed her appointment, stating that it is an important step in strengthening the management team at British American Tobacco. He emphasized that culture and collaboration are at the core of his leadership philosophy, and Koppe-Stahrenberg will share these values and play a significant role in the group's transformation to "build a better tomorrow."
It is reported that Stahrenberg will report to Tadeu.
