Brazil has carried out an operation targeting the illegal trade of vaping devices, successfully seizing a large quantity of products and penalizing the corresponding violations.

According to a report from Brazilian media outlet bahianoticias, Brazil’s anti-corruption, organized crime, and money laundering unit (Draco), together with the economic crimes and public administration crimes police department (DecECAP) and health surveillance authorities, successfully seized 250 e-cigarettes, 221 bottles of e-liquid, 98 vape atomizing devices, and 2 vape chargers.

The operation, named “Vapor – Phase 2,” was carried out in areas including Salvador and Lauro de Freitas in Brazil. Because the products violated regulations set by Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency, the relevant administrative penalty notices have already been issued.

According to reports, the seized vaping products will be destroyed, and the relevant departments will continue carrying out similar joint operations to effectively combat the sale and purchase of vaping products.
