Medical Experts Warn: Vaping Can Seriously Damage the Skin

Experts warn that vaping e-cigarettes can also harm the skin, leading to issues such as dryness, redness, and premature wrinkles.
According to a report from the UK media Daily Record on October 7, research shows that the nicotine and other chemicals in e-cigarettes are as harmful to the skin as traditional cigarettes. Medical experts state that smoking (including e-cigarettes) can cause serious harm to the skin, and people should be vigilant.
The fact that smoking leads to various serious health problems is well-known, and one superficial effect is skin issues. Skin care experts indicate that the destructive impact of smoking on the skin is extremely severe. Many experts are working hard to provide support to help people quit smoking.
Long-term smokers may experience skin dryness, redness, and wrinkles earlier than expected. Dr. Dianni Dai explains, "Smoking reduces collagen production, which accelerates skin aging, making wrinkles, fine lines, and skin laxity more pronounced."
However, if one is determined to quit smoking for a sufficient period, significant improvements in the skin can be observed with increased blood flow and decreased carbon monoxide levels.
Dr. Saleena Zimri states, "Recent studies suggest that e-cigarettes may trigger changes in our bodies similar to those caused by traditional cigarettes, including damage to the skin."
