Bodi Technology Issues Patent Rights Statement; Shenzhen Company Investigated for Infringement

Shenzhen Bodi Technology Development Co., Ltd. published a statement on its official website asserting its rights regarding infringement of its U.S. and Chinese patents titled "A Plug-In Locking Mouthpiece, electronic cigarette atomizer, and Electronic Cigarette."

Express News, September 25: Shenzhen Bodi Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Bodi") issued a statement on its official website asserting its rights over infringement of its U.S. and Chinese patents for "A Plug-In Locking Mouthpiece, Electronic Cigarette Atomizer, and Electronic Cigarette" (hereinafter referred to as the "locking patent"). The patent numbers for this locking patent are US9999254 B2 and CN206119181U, respectively.

In the statement, Bodi said that the locking patent has currently been authorized for use by GREEN THEMIS LLC (hereinafter referred to as "GT"). Bodi and GT jointly enjoy the right to implement and protect the patent. Other than Bodi and GT, any entity or individual that, without Bodi's authorization, manufactures, uses, sells, or offers to sell products directly obtained under Bodi's locking patent constitutes an infringement of Bodi's patent rights. Bodi said it will take strong legal action against such infringement to defend its lawful rights and interests. 

Bodi also mentioned in the announcement that it has filed a request for handling a patent infringement dispute and has sought rights protection from the Bao'an Administration of the Shenzhen Municipal Administration for Market Regulation against a company suspected of infringing Bodi's locking patent. The Bao'an regulator has officially accepted the case and launched an investigation and enforcement action, lawfully seizing the company's electronic cigarette atomizer products, contracts, sales documents, and other materials, and has prepared interview records for the case. 

Bodi's locking patent application was submitted to the China National Intellectual Property Administration on October 17, 2016, and was officially granted on April 26, 2017, under patent number CN206119181U. Bodi stated that the patent remains valid at present.
