Jinjia: Heated Tobacco Products Made in Indonesia Have Been Exported to Japan

Jinjia said that the heated tobacco herbal granule and tobacco granule tobacco sticks it produces in Indonesia have been exported to Japan.

The company responded on the platform, saying that the heated tobacco herbal granule and tobacco granule tobacco sticks it produces in Indonesia have already been sold to Japan.

An investor asked Jinjia Shares on the investor interaction platform: Are the ingredients produced at the Indonesia factory for these new tobacco products herbal or tobacco leaf? Will there be any patent issues involving Philip Morris International? What kind of heating method is used? Have shipments already started?

On September 22, Jinjia Shares replied on the investor interaction platform that both its herbal granule HNB tobacco sticks and tobacco granule HNB tobacco sticks are produced in Indonesia by Jinjia New Tobacco. The products have established an independent patent system for a new heated tobacco stick, a new heated tobacco structure, and an electromagnetic heating structure, distinct from Philip Morris International's sheet-based IQOS products. The products have already been exported to Japan. 

Another investor then asked further: Are the HNB tobacco sticks exported from Indonesia to Japan sold under your own brand or produced as OEM products? Also, what is the normal tariff rate for exports from Indonesia to Japan? 

Jinjia Shares replied to the investor on September 25: The tobacco sticks exported to Japan are sold under the company's own brand, “nicozero,” a brand newly established by Jiajv Electronics for the Japanese market, and the products are manufactured by Indonesia Jinjia New Tobacco. Indonesia Jinjia New Tobacco is located on Batam Island in Indonesia. Batam Island is a bonded zone and enjoys preferential policies such as exemption from import and export tariffs and excise taxes.
