US FDA extends public comment period for proposed Tobacco Product Manufacturing Practice Requirement

The FDA has extended the discussion period for the proposed Tobacco Product Manufacturing Practice Requirement by 30 days, and will accept comments on the proposal until October 6, 2023.
[Two Above News] According to halfwheel on August 28, on March 10 of this year, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released a regulatory proposal titled Tobacco Product Manufacturing Practice Requirement (TPMP). The FDA has extended the discussion period for this regulatory proposal by 30 days to allow more time for public comments, which will be accepted until October 6, 2023.
The final elimination management plan rules will impose new requirements on tobacco product manufacturers regarding the manufacturing, design, packaging, and storage of their products.
The requirements in the proposal will help protect public health by minimizing or preventing contamination and limiting additional risks by ensuring product consistency.
