U.S. FDA to Hold Public Meeting on the PMTA Process

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will hold a two-day public meeting from October 23 to 24, 2023, to discuss the agency's Premarket Tobacco Product Application (PMTA) process.

The meeting will take place at the FDA's White Oak campus in Silver Spring, Maryland, and will be conducted in a hybrid format, with an option to attend virtually.

According to news reports, staff from the FDA's Center for Tobacco Products will present topics related to the PMTA process and answer questions from stakeholders on the subject. Additional information, including registration and the question submission process, will be made available soon.
