Flavored E-Cigarette Filter Tips Seized for the First Time: Zhejiang Busts E-Cigarette Case Worth Ov
On March 27, reporters learned from the Zhejiang Provincial Tobacco Monopoly Bureau that recently, the Tobacco Monopoly Bureau of Jinhua Yongkang City, in conjunction with local public security forces and with the cooperation of Shenzhen police and tobacco departments, conducted a joint operation to crack down on the previously filed "2.10" case, successfully uncovering an illegal operation network involving e-cigarettes, with a case value exceeding 5 million yuan.

In early March, the Yongkang Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, based on intelligence clues, conducted precise strikes through investigation and data analysis, capturing 8 suspects in Shenzhen's Futian and Baoan districts. They seized 2 storage locations and illegal items including 4,572 illegally produced tobacco sticks, 685 disposable e-cigarettes such as "milk tea cups" and "Fortune cups", 720 bottles of e-liquid, and 780 e-cigarette devices (flavored filter tips), with a total case value of over 5 million yuan.
Currently, the case has been transferred to the public security department for further investigation. This case is also the first illegal e-cigarette case cracked by the joint action of Yongkang police and tobacco authorities.
A relevant person in charge of the Zhejiang Provincial Tobacco Monopoly Bureau stated that since October 2022, the state has explicitly prohibited the sale of flavored e-cigarettes, such as fruit flavors, and has strictly cracked down on the sale of e-cigarettes to minors. The flavored e-cigarettes appearing in the current market, such as "milk tea cups", are all illegally produced and sold inferior products, which have a strong deceptive appearance and are particularly tempting and harmful to the youth, making them a key target for law enforcement agencies.
