As you can see, the battery capacity is 4000mAh, and its outer diameter is also larger. Next, let’s take a closer look at this Smok Stick V9 Max Kit!
SMOK’s packaging style remains the same as always, with a drawer-style box plus a flip-open cover. The front features a picture of the device itself, and the gold version is especially eye-catching. The back shows the specifications and all the accessories included in the box. This time, the side displays diagrams of the two custom coils, along with SMOK’s newly added dual-S anti-counterfeit logo. Once opened, you can immediately see the STICK V9 MAX tank. Its appearance is quite substantial; from the middle section alone, it looks a bit like a lantern hung at home during the Lunar New Year. After all, with an 8.5ml e-liquid capacity, it’s the largest tank reservoir I’ve personally used so far. Overall, although it looks large, it’s not off-putting. The package includes:

After full disassembly, the tank is also made up of five parts: drip tip, top cap, glass tube, coil, and base. The upper drip tip section is extremely tight when separated. On its own, the glass tube really does look like a festive lantern, and this time the capacity is an impressive 8.5ml. At the bottom there are three airflow inlets, providing strong and very smooth airflow.

After trying both coils, although they run at different wattages, the difference in flavor is not very noticeable. Vapor production is large, and flavor reproduction is also quite good. The pen-style body has a very smooth finish and an even color. On one side of the device you can see the USB charging port, with the SMOK brand logo below it. On the front of the body is a pentagonal firing button, and the indicator light turns on when the button is pressed. What’s different this time is the base. At the very bottom, the base has a widened protruding edge design, allowing a larger contact area with the tabletop and improving stability. The colored lines at the bottom also help create a smoother visual transition, so it doesn’t look too rigid.
Although the diameter is one size larger than the V8, it still feels good in the hand. It has a solid, weighty feel, but not the kind that feels cumbersome. It also looks quite nice paired with my Little Tornado.
User experience:
In actual use, the V9 shows very refined materials and workmanship in its exterior design. Although it is larger than the V8, it is still quite comfortable to hold. Combined with the 4000mAh battery, the battery life is truly impressive and beyond criticism. Paired with these custom coils, the flavor is also quite good. In terms of feel, flavor, and operation, I would still recommend it. It is particularly suitable for beginners, transitional users, and players who don’t like to build things themselves. (Friendly reminder: don’t use it in crowded or public places—the vapor is startling.)
