Ciga Works & Deson Tech Present the Yummy E-Liquid Series Review
Ciga Works, as mentioned in previous articles, is a collaboration between the UK manufacturer "Deson" and the domestic e-liquid manufacturer "Deson Technology." They have not only created the representative multi-flavor mixed e-liquid "Mango Pomelo" but have also attempted to produce single-flavor e-liquids to enhance the fidelity of fruit-flavored e-liquids. Yummy is one of their flagship products, but it is also a common single flavor. Let's take a look at the taste and experience.
Packaging
The Yummy series e-liquids come in two flavors: "Organic Pineapple Juice" and "Organic Apple Juice." The Yummy series uses a 60ML black PET bottle to effectively prevent e-liquid degradation due to sunlight exposure.
The base color of the packaging is also black, with different patterns corresponding to each e-liquid flavor. The bottom of the bottle has a Chinese description detailing the full names and addresses of both collaborating parties. The bottle also indicates the nicotine content and production date. However, the nicotine content is marked as high as "5MG," while the PG/VG ratio is 70/30. Is this a labeling error?
Not at all. The nicotine used in the Yummy series is not ordinary nicotine liquid but rather "nicotine salt." Nicotine salt is the form of nicotine found in tobacco leaves. Unlike the nicotine typically used in e-liquids, these salts are not just nicotine; they are compounds that contain nicotine and other organic components. They may combine with one or more chemicals found in tobacco leaves, but the result is the same - a more stable molecule.
Knowledge Point: Four Benefits of Nicotine Salt:
1. Greater physiological satisfaction.
Nicotine salt provides a better vaping experience and greater physiological satisfaction, with natural raw materials ensuring safety; liquid nicotine is difficult to approach the authentic traditional cigarette experience, which is one reason consumers often say that e-cigarettes feel different from smoking.
2. Better stability.
Nicotine salt is less volatile and oxidizes less, with a more stable molecular structure that does not affect the experience; liquid nicotine is prone to volatility and oxidation when exposed to air, causing the color to darken, which is why consumers feel that a bottle of e-liquid darkens over time and the satisfaction decreases after use.
3. Purity of flavor.
Liquid nicotine often carries unpleasant off-flavors, while nicotine salt is inherently tasteless, ensuring the authenticity of various e-liquid flavors such as fruit, mint, and food beverages.
4. Reduced irritation.
Liquid nicotine can cause significant irritation to the mouth and respiratory tract, leading to coughing and discomfort when vaping; nicotine salt has lower irritation, providing a smoother vaping experience.

Organic Apple Juice: Upon opening the bottle, the initial aroma is reminiscent of a refreshing "Mirinda Apple" beverage; however, upon closer inspection, the scent of green apple juice is more pronounced. Although the color of the e-liquid cannot be observed from the dropper, it appears nearly transparent when filling the tank. The inhale is gentle, with a hint of minty coolness, and the acidity from the apple juice does not create any aversion. The experience is not like the traditional "Mirinda" but rather resembles concentrated apple juice more than a beverage.
The concentrated apple juice flavor, due to the formulation, does not reach an "overly thick" sensation, but it also reduces the "greasiness" that concentrated juice can bring. The minty note is relatively light, and the apple's acidity and sweetness are not overly pronounced, but the acidity is greater than the sweetness. The minty finish is stronger than the e-liquid itself, which I personally did not particularly enjoy.
Organic Pineapple Juice
Upon opening the bottle, the pineapple aroma is not overly intense, and its flavor deviates slightly from that of concentrated juice, leaning more towards the pineapple juice found in milk tea. The e-liquid appears transparent when dropped, and the coolness is more pronounced than in the previous flavor, yet still within an acceptable range. Unlike the aroma, the pineapple flavor differs from the fruit and concentrated juice, making it more akin to a mix of "pineapple hard candy" and "pineapple beverage." Upon careful tasting, the aroma and sweetness of the pineapple flesh gradually increase, with a slight acidity that is very easy to accept. Personally, I prefer the taste of organic pineapple juice over the previous flavor.

Organic Apple Juice:
The aroma is not overly strong, with a fresh, slightly green apple scent. With a 70% VG ratio, the liquid is slightly viscous and appears white and transparent. The sweetness is moderate, with a mild coolness that is not cloying, allowing the green apple's freshness to shine through. Although it is a single-flavor e-liquid, the transition from mild sweetness to mild coolness is noticeable, with a hint of acidity making it enjoyable for extended vaping. Long-term use does not cause throat irritation, and there is minimal condensation and carbon buildup.
Organic Pineapple Juice:
The pineapple flavor is subtle and does not come across as strong as expected. The liquid is consistent with the apple juice, with a 70% VG ratio, slightly viscous, and appears white and transparent. It is important to note that the flavor of pineapple differs from that of pineapple juice, and the e-liquid's flavor is closer to pineapple juice. The sweetness is moderate, with a mild coolness that is not cloying, and the flavor fidelity of the pineapple juice is high, offering more aroma and less acidity compared to the apple juice. Long-term use does not cause throat irritation, and the smoothness is high, with minimal dry mouth and carbon buildup.

Organic Apple Juice:
Upon opening the bottle, the first impression is a fresh, even slightly light green apple aroma, distinct from the sweet scent of ripe red apples. The unique fragrance of the apple does not exhibit excessive sweetness, and perhaps due to the knowledge of the nicotine salt content, there seems to be a hint of saline flavor. The description of the green apple aroma varies, as small green apples, green apples, and green snake apples all fall under the green apple category, leading to differing descriptions of the flavor. Yummy's organic green apple seems to unify the various descriptions of this flavor, capturing the essence of both ripe and unripe apples. The light aroma is reminiscent of apples that have just begun to turn red on the tree, with a mild acidity and not overly pronounced sweetness, fully encompassing the characteristics of green apples. The addition of a slight saline flavor enhances the experience, making it feel as if one is tasting green apple slices dipped in saline, with a low throat hit that does not detract from this delightful sensation, but rather adds to it.
Organic Pineapple Juice:
It is undoubtedly the flavor of salted pineapple, with the pineapple having been soaked in saline, removing the pungent aroma of the pineapple skin and leaving only the sweet, juicy flesh. Just the aroma alone is enough to whet one's appetite. The moment it enters the mouth, the fullness of the pineapple's acidity is evident, with a relatively light sweetness hidden beneath the fruit's acidity. Given the 5mg nicotine salt content, I was hesitant to take deep lung hits, but I was surprised that the 5mg nicotine salt content remained relatively mild even when using a high airflow atomizer. Taking larger hits enhances the pineapple's aroma, with a refreshing coolness passing through the throat, leaving a slight sweetness in the aftertaste. Overall, it resembles a chilled salted pineapple, delicious and thirst-quenching.
Conclusion
The collaboration between Ciga Works and Deson Technology has produced the Yummy series of e-liquids, which focus on single flavors. Particularly, the use of nicotine salt instead of liquid nicotine enhances the safety and quality of the e-liquids. The flavors are distinct, each with its own characteristics. While the throat hit from nicotine salt is relatively mild, it is still satisfying. However, despite the good flavor, one should not "overindulge"!
