90% of the World’s E-Cigarettes Are Made in Shenzhen
Shenzhen Business Daily (Reporter Liu Lianglong) — At the first U.S. electronic cigarette review experts exchange meeting held on January 6 at Qilinshan Scenic Hotel in Shajing, Bao’an, Shenzhen, reporters learned that 90% of the world’s e-cigarettes are produced in Shenzhen, which has now become the world’s largest e-cigarette manufacturing base.
E-cigarettes, also known as electronic cigarettes, are mainly used for smoking cessation and as a substitute for traditional cigarettes. They have the same appearance as cigarettes and a similar taste, and they even offer many more flavor options than ordinary cigarettes. Like cigarettes, they can also produce vapor and deliver flavor and sensation. E-cigarettes do not contain tar, suspended particles, and other harmful substances found in cigarettes. At the first U.S. electronic cigarette review experts exchange meeting, four industry experts from the United States, the largest e-cigarette consumer market, were invited by the Shenzhen E-Cigarette Industry Association to give presentations on product manufacturing safety and the development direction of the industry. They also brought the latest regulatory information from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration regarding e-cigarettes to the heads of Shenzhen e-cigarette manufacturing companies attending the meeting.
