Patent for Evaluating E-cigarette Vapor Volume Publicly Released
The vapor volume of e-cigarettes is something that many people care about, whether they smoke traditional cigarettes or e-cigarettes. Many prefer large vapor clouds and enjoy blowing smoke rings. When purchasing e-cigarettes, many vendors claim to offer high vapor production devices, but how to measure vapor volume is a challenge. You might buy a device that claims to produce large vapor, only to find it doesn't perform as expected. In fact, there has long been a patented method for evaluating e-cigarette vapor volume, and if you're interested, read on.
On October 29, 2014, the State Intellectual Property Office publicly released a patent application from Yunnan Tobacco Industrial Co., Ltd. for a method to evaluate e-cigarette vapor volume.
The method includes the following steps:
(1) Measurement step: Inhale from the e-cigarette and measure the particle size distribution and number of aerosol particles in the produced vapor; also measure the aerosol volume flow C and detection time t;
(2) Data processing: Based on the aerosol particle size distribution and number, classify the aerosol particles by their respective diameters di and calculate the average concentration n for each di;
(3) Calculate the vapor volume produced using the patent's vapor volume calculation formula.
The resistance values of e-cigarettes can already be measured, but there is currently no specific standard value to indicate vapor volume. Many people enjoy using high-power e-cigarettes for larger vapor production, but the terms used to describe vapor volume are often vague. When they see a large vapor cloud, they say it's big; when they see a small vapor cloud, they say it's small. But how big? How small? It's unclear. This patented method for evaluating e-cigarette vapor volume provides a certain standard for specific evaluations of vapor volume, which holds significant market value!
