The other is the shape of the heater, which now uses a "side opening" design, allowing the heating rod to be heated from the side, enhancing the technological feel and ensuring a more stable fit for the heating rod, making it less likely to fall off. Additionally, the side cover of the main unit can be replaced, allowing for a variety of colors.

The performance upgrades mainly refer to battery life and heating time. The battery life of IQOS 3 has doubled, and the heating time has been reduced by 40 seconds, allowing for faster heating and a greater number of uses in the same timeframe, making it more convenient.
