Tmall Expands Business Scope to Include E-Cigarette Sales

According to Qixinbao data, on May 30, Zhejiang Tmall Network Technology Co., Ltd. changed its business scope to include the sale of "electronic cigarettes" (including online sales) and updated its business contact person.

In the business scope (including online sales), "electronic cigarettes" is listed first!
 
On June 3, Alibaba officially stated that all business activities comply with national laws and regulations, which is a normal business practice.

According to the National Standardization Management Committee's official website, the national standard for "electronic cigarettes" has gone through several stages, including "online public notice, drafting, soliciting opinions, and review," and is currently in the "approval in progress" stage. Tmall's change in business scope is believed to be related to the national standard for "electronic cigarettes" entering the "approval in progress" stage.
 
Previously, there was no dedicated category for "electronic cigarettes" on Tmall, and they had to be listed under other categories. With this change in business scope, does it mean that "electronic cigarettes" will have a separate category on Tmall in the future?

Records show that Zhejiang Tmall Network Technology Co., Ltd. is 100% owned by Zhejiang Tmall Technology Co., Ltd., which is represented by Zhang Yong. It was established on January 24 of this year, with a registered capital of 800 million RMB, and the legal representative is Han Xialin, the general manager of Tmall Supermarket.
