New Progress in Luo Yonghao's Move Into E-Cigarettes; Brand May Be Named 'Xiaoye'

After gradually stepping back from the shareholder list of Smartisan, Luo Yonghao's next entrepreneurial project is speculated to be in the e-cigarette industry. Unfortunately, the e-cigarette sector, which had just begun to show promise, faced a swift setback due to the exposure by CCTV on March 15. Many jokes have circulated about Luo's venture into e-cigarettes, which many are likely familiar with.
 
According to reports from 36Kr, Luo Yonghao, the founder of Smartisan Technology, is preparing a new e-cigarette brand, which is likely to be named 'Xiaoye'. Some insiders have also indicated that the English name 'yeld' (phonetic) is under consideration.

Sources revealed that Luo Yonghao visited several e-cigarette manufacturers in Shenzhen in early March, including us, hoping to find a quality supply chain for his brand, but it remains unknown which company he ultimately chose.

Although CCTV's March 15 report dealt a fatal blow to the burgeoning e-cigarette industry, the enormous business opportunities still loom large.
