The U.S. Vape Ban Has Produced Negative Effects

On August 16, news from the Tobacco Science and Education Network reported by Reason stated that recently, some regions in the United States have implemented related bans on vaping products. A well-known economist in the U.S. pointed out that with the strict control of new tobacco products by some local governments, some consumers may revert to consuming regular combustible tobacco products, as the sale and operation of regular cigarettes remain legal in these areas.
 
Regarding the new product bans in these areas, Professor Michael Siegel from Boston University School of Public Health claimed that this is the craziest public health policy he has ever seen: the government does not allow e-cigarette products to be sold in the market, yet allows regular tobacco products to continue being sold.
