Which RELX Generation Is Best: Gen 1, 2, 3, or 4? As the leading brand of pod-based e-cigarettes in China, RELX occupies a significant portion of the domestic market for pod-based e-cigarettes, and the speed of new product releases is relatively fast. Many users find it difficult to distinguish whether a device is a RELX model, as there are currently four versions available.

Which RELX Generation Is Best: Gen 1

Currently, this is the most cost-effective model, with the most flavor options available. As some flavors are facing discontinuation, there are currently 14 flavors available.

Advantages: The cost-effectiveness is relatively high in terms of long-term use, and the price of the pods is relatively lower.

Disadvantages: The condensation liquid buildup requires regular cleaning.

Recommended for: First-time e-cigarette buyers should consider using Gen 1. Each pack contains 3 pods, each with 2ml capacity.

Which RELX Generation Is Best: Gen 2 Alpha

The Alpha device has a changed appearance, featuring a matte texture and improved quality. It also has a greater draw resistance compared to Gen 1, providing a more satisfying experience. The pods use an S-shaped ring design, which minimizes leakage, and there is rarely any leakage even when taken on a plane. It offers a more enjoyable and smoother experience, eliminating the hassle of leakage.

Advantages: No leakage, no condensation liquid issues, and better flavor.

Recommended for: Regular smokers or those with higher flavor expectations.

Recommended for: A great gift choice, especially for frequent travelers.

Which RELX Generation Is Best: Gen 3 Spirit

Compared to Gen 2, I prefer the flavor and appearance of Gen 3. The anti-slip design of the device is very appealing to me; I previously used Gen 1, which was too slippery and often slipped out of my pocket, leading to significant damage. Gen 3 features a textured anti-slip design, and I really like this clean and simple white version.

Regarding flavor, it feels smoother than Gen 2, with a cotton-soft texture. The draw resistance is a combination of Gen 1 and Gen 2, not too strong and not too weak. The condensation liquid management is excellent; when you remove the pod, you can see that all the condensation liquid is locked in, and it won’t leak out at all. It also features a four-layer silicone seal that achieves the highest level of leak-proof technology available.

Finally, the app connectivity allows for real-time monitoring, showing how many puffs you’ve taken and what flavor pod you’re using. You can also lock the device with one click, which is very useful for households with children, preventing accidental use.

Advantages: Smooth flavor, cotton-soft texture, app connectivity for real-time monitoring, and anti-loss features.

Disadvantages: The only downside I’ve found so far is the price.

Recommended for: E-cigarette enthusiasts.

Which RELX Generation Is Best: Gen 4 Infinity
  RELX E-Cigarette
The Infinity model combines the advantages of the other three generations, offering a similar cost-effectiveness to Gen 1, with subsequent pods priced at 99 yuan for a pack of 3. It features a breathing light design similar to the Alpha and a similar body material, with a matte texture. The flat mouthpiece design is similar to the Spirit, providing a comfortable fit.

Recently, a charging case set has been released, which is compact and easy to carry, making it stress-free for short trips.

Disadvantages: The air intake design is the same as Gen 1, which can easily get blocked by dust.

Advantages: Smooth and soft flavor, several excellent flavors available, and high cost-effectiveness.

Recommended for: Beginners or those between Gen 1 and Alpha Spirit.

In summary, based on cost-effectiveness, you can choose the Infinity model. If you are looking for a high-end experience, choose the Spirit. If you have the budget for the Spirit, you won’t go wrong. If you find the Spirit too expensive and can’t afford the pods, choose the Infinity.
