At Huxiu's NLive event in Beijing, Snowplus joined discussions on youth, technology, consumption, and social responsibility, highlighting vaping's role in broader public conversations.

On August 30, Huxiu hosted NLive in Beijing, its first immersive experience event combining issues relevant to young people, consumer lifestyle attitudes, and cutting-edge technology. Over three days, Huxiu NLive raised questions such as what young people care about, what confuses them, and what they need, with discussions centered on technology, consumption, music, gaming, the workplace, the future, and more. A number of high-profile guests took the stage to share their perspectives on life, trends, and technology, while cutting-edge tech products were available on-site for young attendees to try firsthand, delivering a continuous stream of enjoyment and discovery.

At this NLive event, Snowplus founder Wang Sa took the stage to speak. Positioned at the center of one of this year’s biggest trends and public debates, and facing young people’s many concerns and questions about e-cigarettes, Wang Sa explained how Snowplus prevents minors from accessing cigarettes while also offering adult smokers more options through atomized products aimed at harm reduction and smoking reduction.

In his speech, Wang Sa said, “During our visits to frontline markets, we discovered many interesting phenomena. In many places, sellers had never even heard of the concept of e-cigarettes. After we explained the principles of heated tobacco, no combustion, and zero tar, when users picked up the products and tried them for themselves, their eyes lit up. That is when our team feels most moved, because we are truly helping advance public health.”

Taking on social responsibility, Snowplus’s way forward

With the launch of its first batch of products, Snowplus gained attention and popularity, but also faced plenty of skepticism. Some argued that e-cigarettes targeting the youth market were attracting non-smokers who simply wanted to follow trends. “That is not what we want. We reject that kind of experimentation. We want to protect people who do not smoke, and that is why we introduced a new product concept—electronic coffee,” Wang Sa said.

Indeed, e-cigarettes are an alternative to traditional cigarettes, but they should never be a reason to start smoking. Snowplus understands this well, so it has done everything possible through various commercial measures to protect young people and minors. In addition to launching electronic coffee, Snowplus also initiated the “Angel Protection Campaign,” implementing systematic measures to prevent minors from accessing and using e-cigarettes. At the same time, Snowplus is also developing more atomized harm-reduction alternatives for smokers, bringing them a wider and more reassuring range of choices.
