Shenzhen Fuhai Launches Cannabis Vape Inspections and Anti-Drug Campaign
Shenzhen’s Fuhai street launched inspections and an anti-drug campaign targeting cannabis vapes, stepping up checks to prevent drug-related risks in the e-cigarette sector.
On June 11, it was reported that in response to the national regulation of synthetic cannabinoids, to effectively strengthen the inspection and control of "high-inducing e-cigarettes" and to prevent new drug risks brought by issues related to drugs in the e-cigarette industry, the anti-drug office of Fuhai Street in Bao'an District conducted preliminary inspection work in the Zhancheng community on the afternoon of June 1, 2021, coinciding with the implementation anniversary of the "6.1" anti-drug law.
This event primarily involved sending a letter of advocacy to e-cigarette companies, informing them of the legal responsibilities and policy requirements arising from the regulation of synthetic cannabinoids. It also involved conducting preliminary inspections of the companies' registered addresses, legal representatives, main contacts and methods, company types, scales, main brands and models, sources of e-liquid, and daily management records. Companies were urged to strictly control the raw materials for e-liquids and other materials, enhance their product sampling inspections, and ensure that their products do not contain drug components. At the same time, anti-drug social workers educated company leaders on laws and regulations and anti-drug knowledge, further raising their awareness of drug prevention.
