Tobacco Industry Reaches Record Tax and Profit Levels in 2020

According to data from the National Tobacco Monopoly Administration, the tobacco industry achieved record levels of tax and profit in 2020.
 
In 2020, the tobacco industry achieved a total tax and profit of 1.2803 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.2%, with total fiscal revenue reaching 1.2037 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.3%. This marks a historic high in total tax and profit and fiscal revenue, making a positive contribution to national and local fiscal revenue and economic development.
