PMI Opens a Vaping Device Recycling Center in Budapest

According to the Budapest Business Journal, citing the national news agency MTI, Philip Morris International (PMI) opened a vaping device recycling center in the suburbs of Budapest this week, valued at 3 billion Hungarian Forints (approximately $10.16 million).<\/span><\/div>

PMI's Director of Sustainability, Miguel Coleta, stated that the center can recycle 150,000 electronic tobacco devices per month, but the capacity can be increased.  <\/span><\/div>

He added that the company chose this location due to Hungary's stable economy and favorable investment environment.<\/span><\/div>
 <\/div>
State Secretary Tamas Menczer noted that this investment has created 100 jobs and pointed out that PMI has only one recycling center in Japan.   <\/span><\/div>

PMI's revenue in Hungary exceeded 230 billion Hungarian Forints last year.<\/span><\/div>
