RELX 5 Is Here! New "Phantom" Model Launches on December 15
RELX launched the new Phantom on December 15. It features a unique 4-bar battery indicator, faster charging, larger battery capacity, and upgraded leak-resistant technology.
On December 8, RELX launched its new vaping device product, the RELX Phantom. This is another new product release from RELX following the launch of the RELX Infinity in January this year.

The RELX Phantom features a unique 4-bar battery indicator light design on the body, showing remaining power and charging progress at any time to ease users' anxiety about not knowing the battery level. At the same time, it also delivers technical breakthroughs in charging speed, battery capacity, leak-resistant technology, and materials and craftsmanship.
It is reported that, as another milestone in RELX innovation and R&D, the RELX Phantom has already filed multiple patent applications, including one for its maze-style airway design.

According to RELX Chief Product Officer Chen Chen, during the early stages of development, RELX systematically developed strategies to address user pain points based on user experience data. In the design and R&D stage alone, the product team completed 51 design verification tests and used more than 15,000 pods for reliability and puff-testing.
“We spare no expense and never relax in our relentless pursuit of the ultimate product experience,” said Chen Chen.
Tidal Battery Light: Battery status under control, clear at every moment

The RELX Phantom is designed with a 4-level LED battery indicator on the device body. When the user takes a puff or inserts a pod into the Phantom device, the battery lights illuminate in sequence, displaying the remaining battery level with a dynamic tide-like effect. While charging, the indicator lights also give users a clear view of the charging status and how long it will take to fully charge.
In terms of power, the RELX Phantom uses a Type-C standard input port. Compared with the first-generation RELX product, the new model offers 9% more battery capacity and 31% higher charging efficiency.
This innovative design comes from long-term user insight: How much longer will the battery last? Will it run out when I want to use it? Do I need to bring a charging cable when I go out today? How much longer until it is fully charged? …… These concerns are common in the daily use of vaping devices.
“The original intention behind the tidal battery light was to focus on solving users’ ‘battery uncertainty anxiety,’” Chen Chen explained. “Our user research found that 77.6% of users do not know how much battery is left when going out, and nearly 50% have experienced the device suddenly running out of power, which they found frustrating. Knowing the remaining battery level ranked first among the features users wanted added.”
While adding functionality, the team also considered how to create the optimal light interaction effect for users. If the light effect is too fast, it suggests urgency and anxiety; if it is too slow, it gives a psychological impression of weak power and sluggish response.
In this subtle detail that many people may not consciously notice, the product design team drew on bionics knowledge of the human breathing rate of once every 3 seconds and aligned it with RELX users’ puffing habits. After 23 rounds of software iteration and optimization, they ultimately set the battery light to pulse rhythmically at a frequency of 1.4 seconds per cycle. The smooth and comfortable tidal lighting effect gives the RELX Phantom a strong sense of technology whether in use or charging.
