Vape Supplier ElegoMall Gives Away Free Masks to Fight Pneumonia
As COVID-19 drove mask shortages and price spikes worldwide, vape supplier ElegoMall said it would give away free masks to help customers and communities fight the outbreak.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) struck China during the Chinese New Year holiday and is now affecting 199 countries and regions worldwide. As of March 27, 536,478 people had been infected by the virus, and that number was increasing at an alarming rate.
As many countries and regions, including Italy and Japan, faced mask shortages and unreasonable price hikes, ElegoMall decided to launch a free mask program on its website to help people in need. “Vaping cannot kill the virus, but love can! — Love from China’s vaping industry. Stay safe, let’s stay calm and keep moving forward!” reads ElegoMall’s slogan.
The company contacted several local manufacturers to ask whether they would be willing to sponsor masks. “We want to express our care and affection for customers around the world. Thanks to VAPORESSO, SMOK, UWELL, VOOPOO, OBS, and SMOANT for sponsoring more than 25,000 masks for this campaign. The masks will be distributed from March 24 to April 9 (weekdays only) on the official ElegoMall website from 03:00-07:00 am and 15:00-19:00 pm (Hong Kong time),” the supplier said in a press release.
