Juul announces it will stop selling mint vapes in the US
According to Sina Finance, electronic cigarette giant Juul Labs announced that it will immediately stop selling mint-flavored vapes in the US, as new signs show that such products are becoming increasingly popular among American teenagers.

A study published this week in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that mint-flavored vapes are the most popular products among US 10th to 12th graders, with over 40% of respondents indicating it is their most commonly used vape variety.

One study also showed that among the e-cigarette brands used by high school and middle school students, Juul is by far the most popular, with nearly 60% of high school students and 54% of middle school students indicating Juul as their commonly used brand.

Juul CEO K.C. Crosthwaite stated that the findings are “unacceptable” while announcing the decision to stop selling mint-flavored vapes.

Over the past year, Juul has reduced the number of vape flavors it offers to avoid increasing regulatory pressure due to the rising popularity of its products among teenagers.

The company stated last year that it would remove popular vape flavors such as mango, cucumber, and fruit from physical retail stores in the US, leaving only tobacco and mint-flavored vapes available in physical retail, although these products would still be sold online.

Last month, the company also announced that it would stop online sales of fruit and dessert-flavored vapes.
