Some newer IQOS Multi lids no longer spring back automatically, causing buyers to suspect fakes. In fact, this design change also appears on genuine units made by the same contract manufacturer.
Many sellers have also been frustrated by this: the IQOS MULTI lids sold in the past would spring back up, but customers who recently purchased them have found that they no longer do, causing some buyers to suspect the sellers are offering counterfeit products. In fact, all IQOS precision plastic parts are manufactured by China-based Yingqu Technology. It has been confirmed that earlier IQOS MULTI lids did spring back up, whereas now they no longer rebound.
