Wrong Way to Insert a Tobacco Stick: Consequences and Fixes
If a tobacco stick gives weak vapor and light flavor, you may be inserting it the wrong way. Proper alignment with the tobacco grain helps the blade heat the stick evenly and smoothly.
If the tobacco stick produces little aerosol, has a weak taste, is hard to draw, and the number of puffs drops sharply, it is likely because it was inserted against the direction of the tobacco grain. This can cause the heated tobacco stick to heat incompletely and is the result of incorrect insertion. During heating, the tobacco should fit closely against the heating blade. A correct insertion should feel smooth and unobstructed (you can gently loosen the tobacco a little to make insertion easier).
