Common False IQOS Faults You Can Fix Yourself
Some IQOS problems are only apparent faults and can be fixed at home. Moisture on a tobacco stick is normal, while red lights in the charger are often caused by dirty or misaligned contact points.
IQOS really does require a bit of extra care. Here are some common false faults.
1. If the tobacco stick feels damp, that is not a fault. You can ignore it.
2. If the holder shows a red light when inserted into the charger, check the copper contacts at the bottom of the holder and the bottom of the charging case. Like an old game cartridge, just wipe them clean and it should be OK.
3. If the holder shows a red light when inserted into the charger, also check whether the copper contacts at the bottom of the holder and charging case are properly aligned. After some use, the tobacco stick slot in the holder can become a little loose, causing poor alignment and preventing charging.
4. If the holder charges normally and the green light turns off, but then shows a red light after you take it out, refer to points 2 and 3: check the copper contacts and make sure it is inserted correctly, and it should be OK.
