Italian Tobacco Retailers Join Logista Italia to Launch Vaping Device Recycling Initiative

  Italian tobacco retailers have joined forces with Logista Italia to launch an vaping device recycling initiative, setting up collection points where consumers can properly dispose of used devices, support environmental protection, and access a simple and effective recycling solution.

According to a report from ilmessaggero, on January 17, 2024, Italian tobacco retailers launched a vaping device recycling campaign. The project was jointly initiated by Logista Italia and the Italian Tobacco Federation to address end-of-life issues for vaping devices.

By setting up dedicated collection points, consumers can properly dispose of discarded vaping devices while purchasing tobacco products, helping to avoid negative environmental impact.

Logista provides a simple recycling solution: users only need to place their vaping devices into the designated recycling bins at tobacco retail outlets, and Logista will handle the rest of the process. In addition, users do not need to purchase a new device in order to recycle. At the same time, while assisting with the disposal of waste devices, Logista also reports recycling and transportation data to the Ministero dell'Ambiente, ensuring full traceability throughout the process.
