Philip Morris International has appointed Navaneel Kar as Managing Director of its Indian subsidiary, IPM India Wholesale Trading (IPM India).

According to international media reports, Philip Morris International has appointed Navaneel Kar as Managing Director of its Indian subsidiary, IPM India Wholesale Trading (IPM India).

 

Prior to this, Kar served as President of Sales at Tata Consumer Products. He will report directly to Ankur Modi, Cluster Head for South Asia and Indochina.

 

Kar brings more than 25 years of professional experience and has worked with well-known brands such as ITC and Tata Motors. He has successfully led teams and organizations across multiple categories and channels in food, tobacco, personal care, and beverages.

 

In a statement, Modi said: “I am delighted to welcome Navaneel Kar as Managing Director of IPM India. Kar has demonstrated outstanding leadership and capability throughout his career. His entrepreneurial spirit and learning mindset will be key as our India business enters its next phase of growth.”
