What Changes Can Long-Term Vaping Bring? [Personal Experience]
Have any of you experienced changes after using vaping devices for a long time? First, let me introduce myself: I’ve been a brick-and-mortar store owner for 2 years, and I’m also someone who successfully quit smoking.
This post does not recommend any products. I simply want to share my personal experience of quitting smoking!
Starting in 2021, I had a lot of free time at home and would scroll through videos. By chance, I saw a smoke-ring video on Bilibili and noticed the RELX brand. It looked really cool and impressive, so out of curiosity I wanted to buy one from an offline store.
At first, it stayed at the level of simple interest, but I liked it more and more. It smelled pleasant, and it didn’t seem to affect the people around me as much. With that in mind, I eventually opened a store in my own city. My family was very happy about it and became even more supportive of my business.
In the beginning, I reduced my cigarette consumption from 3–5 cigarettes a day to 1 cigarette a day, and later I didn’t even want to smoke at all. I found the taste of regular cigarettes harder and harder to accept. A pod with a capacity of 1.8ml would usually last me about 2–3 days before I replaced it. After that, I gradually cut down my vaping as well, from 1 pod every 2–3 days to 1 every 4–6 days, then from 1 every 4–6 days to just 1 every half month, and eventually I could even control myself not to use it at all.
Based on my experience, I believe that vaping devices can be used as a gradual tool to help people quit smoking.
If you want to use vaping devices as a cigarette substitute, then I suggest learning about them and how to use them before you begin. At the same time, you should reduce your usage step by step and gradually stop using them, so your body can better adapt to the new state and minimize withdrawal reactions.
The ultimate goal is to quit both vaping devices and tobacco completely, and live a healthy life!
