Indonesian vaping association issues open letter urging government to delay e-cigarette tax until 20
The Indonesian National Vaping Association (Paguyuban Asosiasi Vape Nasional Indonesia, PAVENAS) has made their appeal to the Ministry of Finance. They are requesting to delay the implementation of the e-cigarette tax until 2027.<\/p>
PAVENAS is composed of the Indonesian Personal Vaporizer Association (APVI), the Indonesian Vapers Alliance (AVI), the Indonesian E-Liquid Manufacturers Association (PPEI), the Indonesian Nicotine Delivery Enterprises Alliance (APPNINDO), and the Bali Vaping Association (AVB).<\/p>
This appeal to the Ministry of Finance in Jakarta regarding the 2024 e-cigarette tax occurred on December 21, 2023.<\/p>
This action is a request made to the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance at the Ministry of Finance, aiming to postpone the implementation of the e-cigarette tax until 2027, and urging the government to maintain transparency and fairness in policy-making, directly involving business operators.<\/p>
Previously, PAVENAS had sent an open letter to the Ministry of Finance, requesting consideration of this policy and asking for an open space for discussion, dialogue, and hearings with all affected parties.<\/p>
