Dr. Moira Gilchrist will serve as Chief Communications Officer, responsible for global communications, while Marian Salzman will become Chief Citizenship Officer, driving the company’s development in the U.S. market.
According to a December 19 update on Philip Morris International’s (PMI) official website, PMI announced changes to its senior leadership team. Effective January 1, 2024, Dr. Moira Gilchrist will be promoted to Chief Communications Officer and join PMI’s senior management team.
Gilchrist has been with PMI since 2006 and previously served as Vice President of Strategic and Scientific Communications. She will report to Chief Executive Officer Jacek Olczak.
Marian Salzman, Vice President of Global Communications, will become Senior Vice President and Chief Citizenship Officer effective January 1, 2024. After more than five years laying the groundwork for the Global Communications division, Salzman will return to the United States to help drive PMI’s business development in the U.S. market.
Olczak praised Gilchrist’s abilities, saying:
“Combined with her outstanding communication skills, these qualities will help the company achieve our ambitious goal of becoming substantially smoke-free by 2030, with more than two-thirds of total net revenue coming from smoke-free products.”
