Wyoming teacher arrested for providing cannabis edibles and e-cigarettes to students

A teacher from a Wyoming school district has been arrested for allegedly providing cannabis edibles and e-cigarettes to students.

34-year-old Sarah Kester from Laxville was arrested on Monday for allegedly corrupting minors and attempted corruption of minors, with the investigation beginning last September by the Wyoming Valley police.

In September, police received a report claiming that Kester provided students with cheesecake-flavored DELTA 8 gummies and nicotine e-cigarettes, and attempted to offer students pickle-flavored vodka.

Court documents show that Kester purchased nicotine e-cigarettes at a gas station and provided edible gummies to one victim. She also offered vodka, but the victim declined.

Court documents also state that Kester urged the victim to delete group chat messages with her so that others would not know she was communicating with them.

Kester also told the victim to throw eggs at her ex-partner's house, but they never did, according to police.

Kester was charged on Monday morning with three counts of corrupting minors and one count of attempted corruption of minors.

Jon Pollard, the superintendent of the Wyoming district, released a statement regarding Kester's charges:

The Wyoming school district is aware that a district employee has been charged. When we learned of the report of the alleged behavior, we promptly responded through our policies and procedures as well as personnel procedures. Kester has been on leave since September 25, 2023, and will remain on leave until the matter is resolved.
